Best way to to do a Fast with Elaina Love and Katelyn Louise
In this episode, Katelyn Louise and I discuss our 5-day water fast we recently completed together in Arizona. We wanted to share with you exactly what we did, why, and how we felt during and after. Fasting is one of the most popular questions we get asked about from our students when it comes to their health.

- Liver Cleanse & Fasting supplements to make your cleanse more comfortable:
- Oxy-OxC: (assist in healthy daily bowel movements during the cleanse): 3-5 caps at bedtime or anytime. Note: if you are having more than 3 bowel movements a day or stools become liquid, back off to 3 or skip a day.
- Malic Acid: (assist in breaking down liver stones and gallstones): 1 tsp. in 16 oz water or hibiscus tea daily. Brush teeth or swish with baking soda after drinking.
- Reconstructive enzymes (taken on an empty stomach – without food): These will further break down sludge and fibrin and reduce inflammation in the liver during this time. these enzymes have also been shown to help many of our clients dissolve cysts, scar tissue, and chronic inflammation. They can also bring back menstruation. Take 5-10 daily on an empty stomach. You can divide it up into morning and evening or just take 5 at bedtime.

- Supplemental additions for fasting or cleansing protocols: cold showers or plunges, hot sauna, hot Epsom salt or sea salt baths, naked Sunbathing, float Tanks, Acupuncture, massage, enemas, oil pulling, and skin brushing. Different Types of Fasts:
- Water Fast: You can do 1, 2, 3,4, or 5 days on water only
- Juice Fast: Green juice only, 1 veggie broth, and 1 detox tea a day. Chanca Piedra (breakstone tea) or Liver Detox Tea.
- 5 Day Blended Cleanse: 2 days of blended, 2 days of juice, and end with 1 day of blended at the end. Avoid fruits. Make smoothies with zucchinis, avocado, superfoods like spirulina, ginger, turmeric, lots of greens (spinach, cilantro, dill, basil, leafy greens), a bit of high mineral salt and 1 x 16 oz. veggie broth daily. Sticking to only blended liquids (no solids) to nurture the digestive tract.
- Liver Gallbladder Cleanse/Flush: Can be done using the previous 3 options with at least 1 day of water fasting. This protocol is 5-days long but can be extended if desired.
